Parade of lights
Nov 29, 2014  One of the highlights of the weekend in Elk Grove following Thanksgiving is the Parade of Lights! The even follows the Dickens fair and the parade starts at 6 pm.

The Old Fashioned Christmas starts with the Black Tie & Santa Event on November 30th.  Please see Black Tie & Santa to order your tickets now.
Beginning on Saturday, December 6, we’re open every Saturday and Sunday from 1 – 5 PM.  Our last day will be Sunday, December 21st.  Don’t miss this opportunity to see the 1850s Stage Stop dressed in its Christmas finest.  Pictures with Santa are also available every Saturday and Sunday.  Come by to experience the beauty of the holiday season! Admission is only $5 and goes toward helping us maintain Heritage Park.


Folsom Ice Rink
Nov 11 -   Open daily, 10 am to 10 pm. including Thanksgiving and Christmas Day!
We do make every effort to stay open during all weather conditions unless the conditions become unsafe for our visitors. If weather conditions are extreme please call 916-985-4181 in advance to ensure we are open.
(please note: last session begins at 8 pm)

historic Folsom tree lighting
Dec 5, 2014  6-9pm,  Rain/Snow or Shine. 
Located in the plaza at the ice skating rink. The tree will be lit at 7:30pm, Free train rides and performances beginning at 6:30pm at the ice rink.

47th annual christmas arts & crafts fair
Dec 6, 2014  8am-4pm  Sutter Street is filled with quality arts, crafts and gifts, the fair is the perfect place to complete your Holiday shopping plus fum for the whole family! Live music, carolers, face painting  and much more. The event is rain or shine.

historic Folsom holiday home tour
Dec 12 & 13 2014  2014 Historic Folsom Holiday Home Tour features 9 charming historic sites decorated for the Holidays, a lovely art and hand-crafted holiday gift boutique at the Murer House, musical entertainment and an opportunity to enjoy the season as you step back in time. Tickets are $20 and be purchased at the following locations: Dorthea’s, Folsom History Museum, Folsom Chamber of Commerce, Green Acres Nursery-Folsom, Murer House, Not Too Shabby and Raley’s – Blue Ravine.
